3 Tips For Enhancing Your Jewelry Pieces On Your Wedding Day

by Angel Torres

No bridal assemble is complete without beautiful jewelry. When you are considering your overall look, you want to make sure any significant piece of jewelry complements your look and is not overshadowed. There are three factors to consider when selecting your overall look.

Avoid Distracting Hairstyles

Although long, flowing hairstyles are an attractive option for your wedding day, they can hide or distract from major pieces of jewelry. For example, if you want earrings with a large stone or are designed to dangle from the ear, these are best complemented by a pined-up hairstyle. If you have long hair and you plan for your hair to be down at the wedding, choose a simple pair of earrings and use other statement pieces. Incorporating a tiara into your wedding veil can work with most hairstyles and allows you to have a statement piece of jewelry that is difficult to become obstructed.

Consider Your Neckline

The neckline of your dress can be an important consideration when selecting a necklace and/or earrings. A large statement necklace or even a simple pendent is best showcased with an open neckline. When your dress shows more of your neck and shoulders you can often showcase bolder earrings and necklaces. A simple string of pearls works better with closed or high neckline dresses, since the dress and jewelry are not competing for attention. As an alternative, you may want to consider a choker-style necklace for a closed or high neck line.

Use Makeup As A Tool

Both diamond and pearl jewelry are classic because they match most any dress and look, but you may want to incorporate pops of color through your jewelry. When you use colored stones, you should consider ways your makeup can enhance the look. If you are having a daytime wedding, you may be less inclined to incorporate bold colors into your makeup look. For a modest approach to adding color, try using an eyeliner in the same color as your gem stone. If the color is too bold, go with a less saturated version of the same color. For a nighttime wedding, it is often easier to have slightly bolder makeup. A smoky eye that incorporates the gem stone color is one option or you can go with a neutral eye look and a bolder, gem stone colored lip.

Although the main focus of your wedding day is likely your dress, you should pay attention to the fine details to make a true statement. By finding the best way to enhance your jewelry pieces, you can create a stunning look for your big day.

Choosing Classier Jewelry

About a month ago, I started thinking about the kinds of jewelry I was choosing. It occurred to me that I really needed to start looking for classier pieces since most of my jewelry was pretty loud and annoying. I thought that it was sending the wrong vibe to customers, and I was right. After choosing classier pave pieces, I got a better response from clients. This blog is all about finding better jewelry pieces and knowing which styles and themes to avoid in the workplace. You never know, a few small changes could really improve the response you get from customers.
